RB26 Part Numbers

This is just a list of all the random stuff I have had to look up.

Bearings:

ACL Rod Bearings H - PN: 6B2960H-STD, 0.025, 0.25

ACL Main Bearings H - PN: 7M2428H-STD, 0.025. 0.25, 0.50

Head Studs:

ARP 2000 - PN: 202-4207

Tools - 14mm 12 point socket & 5mm allen

ARP 625+ - PN: 202-4208

Tools - 14mm 12 point socket & 5mm allen

Clutch / Flywheel:

ARP Flywheel Bolts- PN: 102-2801

Tools - 3/4" 12 point socket

ARP Pressure Plate Bolts - PN: 102-2201

These are the most frequently used torque specs and clearances on RB26s. Always follow the recommended OEM or aftermarket installation instructions.

Cam Cap Bolts

OEM Torque:

0.92~1.2 kg*m / 6.65~8.67 ft*lb

Notes:

Tighten from outside to center in multiple stages. Be cautious and clean bolts before installation.

Head Studs

OEM Torque:

10.5-11.5 kg*m / 75-83 ft*lb

ARP 2000 Torque (202-4207):

14.5 kg*m / 105 ft*lb

(Tools - 14mm 12 point socket & 5mm allen)

ARP 625+ Torque (202-4208):

Step 1- 6.9 kg*m / 50 ft*lb

Step 2- 13.8 kg*m / 100 ft*lb

Step 3- 19.3 kg*m / 140 ft*lb

(Tools - 14mm 12 point socket & 5mm allen)

Notes:

Tighten from center out in 2 stages to 50 ft*lbs, loosen then tighten to final torque in 3 stages. Follow ARP installation instructions below.

Cam Pulley

OEM Torque:

1.4-1.9 kg*m / 10-14 ft*lb

RB26 Bottom End Torque and Clearances

OEM Top Ring Gap

OEM Clearance:

0.24-0.34 mm

Notes:

Stamped mark facing upwards.

Hastings Rings the top ring is the barrel (square ring with no mark)

OEM Second Ring Gap

OEM Clearance:

0.42-0.57 mm

Notes:

Stamped mark facing upwards.

Hastings Rings the second ring is the taper (inside chamfer with mark)

OEM Oil Ring Gap

OEM Clearance:

0.20-0.60 mm

Notes:

Do not overlap the ends, the tips are butted together (vv vv).

OEM Main Studs / Bearings

OEM Torque:

4.7-5.3 kg*m / 36~40 ft*lb

OEM Clearance:

0.028-0.047 mm / 0.090 limit

Notes:

Tighten from center out in 2 or 3 stages.

ARP Main Studs / Bearings

ARP Torque (202-5403):

8.3 kg*m / 60 ft*lb

(Tools - 16mm 12 point socket)

Notes:

Follow ARP installation instructions below. It is also recommended to line hone crank and double check clearances as the block can distort with more clamping torque on the girdle.

OEM Con. Rod Bolts / Bearings

OEM Torque Stage 1:

1.4-1.6 kg*m / 10~11.5 ft*lb

OEM Torque Stage 2:

60-65 degrees

OEM Clearance:

0.020-0.040 mm / 0.090 limit

Notes:

Do not apply oil to the rear surface of the bearing.

ARP Con. Rod Bolts / Bearings

ARP Torque (202-6007):

6.22 kg*m / 45 ft*lb

Notes:

Do not apply oil to the rear surface of the bearing. Follow ARP installation instructions below.

Other Torque Values

Flywheel

OEM Torque:

14.5-15.5 kg*m / 104~112 ft*lb

ARP Torque (102-2801):

13.1 kg*m / 95 ft*lb

(Tools - 3/4" 12 point socket)

Notes:

Tighten in an alternating crisscross pattern in multiple stages with thread locker. Follow ARP installation instructions below.

Clutch Pressure Plate

OEM Torque:

ARP Torque (102-2201):

3.5 kg*m / 25 ft*lb

(Tools - 10mm hex socket)

Timing Belt Tensioner

OEM Torque:

4.4~5.9 kg*m / 32~43 ft*lb
